The Panamanian Seaman’s Book – also known as the Seafarer’s Identification and Record Book – is an internationally recognised document certifying the holder as a seafarer under the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW).
As well as serving as an official identification document, it provides a detailed record of a seafarer’s maritime career, including service history and qualifications.
The Seaman’s Book has no nationality restrictions and can support visa applications where required for specific destinations, as well as assisting with entry and exit procedures at port controls.
Application processing times typically range from 2 to 4 weeks.
The Seaman’s Book is generally valid for five years from the date of issue.
At Visas2, we are committed to supporting maritime professionals and improving efficiency across the global energy and shipping industries.
Our latest service – the issuance of Panamanian Seaman’s Books – helps seafarers obtain the essential documentation required to support compliance with international maritime regulations.
