Requirements
- A completed visa application form, printed and signed
• A valid, signed passport with at least six months’ validity from the intended date of entry and at least one blank visa page.
- Two recent coloured passport-sized photographs (45mm x 35mm) taken against a white background, with the applicant’s name written on the back, attached to the application form.
The applicant must provide a business letter from their UK employer. A copy of the letter is acceptable.
This letter must:
• be printed on official company letterhead
• be addressed to the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt – Visa Section
• include the applicant’s full name, job title, and passport number
• state the purpose of the journey and the nature of business to be conducted
• name the organisation(s) or contacts to be visited in Egypt
• specify the number of entries requested and the overall length of visa validity (e.g. six months, multiple entry)
• confirm financial responsibility for the applicant’s travel and accommodation expenses
• be signed by a supervisor, manager, or a representative from the HR department.
The applicant must provide a business invitation letter from the company they are visiting in Egypt. A copy is acceptable.
This letter must:
• be addressed to the Egyptian Embassy in London
• be printed on the official letterhead of the inviting company
• include the full name and address of the Egyptian company
• state the applicant’s full name and passport number
• specify the applicant’s source of financial support while in Egypt
• include the intended dates of entry and exit
• confirm the length of stay and the number of entries requested
• state the place and purpose of the visit
• bear the signature of an authorised representative of the inviting company
• be issued within the last three months
PLEASE NOTE: The Embassy issues dated visas, meaning the visa becomes valid from the travel date you specify on your application form.
After submitting your application, you must ensure that your arrival date is on or after the travel date listed on the application.
Visa Information
UK applicants visiting Egypt for business purposes—including meetings, conferences, supplier visits, or site inspections—can apply for a six-month multiple entry business visa. This visa permits several entries into Egypt over a six‑month period, with each stay typically lasting up to 30 days and a total allowable stay of 90 days within that timeframe.
This visa must be obtained before travel, and travellers should not rely on visa-on-arrival. It is suited for repeat visits over a medium-term period and facilitates flexible business schedules.
