Requirements
The passport must:
-
Have at least three blank visa pages, with two of the pages facing each other
-
Be valid for six months beyond the date of entry into Ghana
Passport photo requirements:
• Two (2) recent (within the last 6 months), colour photograph
• white or off-white background
• plain expression, mouth closed, eyes visible and open
• no head covering (unless for medical or religious reasons)
• no digital alterations or filters.
• Yellow fever vaccination certificate
• Hotel booking or accommodation details in Ghana
• Confirmed return or onward flight ticket
An original letter of introduction from the applicant’s UK employer. This letter must:
• be addressed to the Ghana High Commission
• be on company letterhead paper
• include the full name of the applicant
• specify the purpose of the journey to Ghana
• include the name of the organisation(s) the applicant intends to visit
• specify the number of entries requested and the total validity period required
• include a confirmation of financial responsibility for the applicant during the trip
• be signed by the applicant’s supervisor or a representative from the company’s HR department
An original letter of invitation from the company or organisation in Ghana. A copy is acceptable if the original cannot be provided. This letter must:
• be addressed to the Ghana High Commission
• be on official company letterhead paper
• include the full name of the applicant
• specify the purpose of the visit
• confirm the applicant’s intended dates of travel and length of stay
• state the number of entries requested and the total visa validity period
• include the name, address, and contact details of the host company
• confirm the relationship between the Ghanaian host and the UK company or applicant
• include a statement of support and/or financial responsibility (if applicable)
• be signed and dated by a representative of the inviting organisation
• A copy of the relevant pages of the Ghanaian host’s passport (preferably the photo and information page)
– If the host is a foreign national residing in Ghana, include a copy of their passport and valid Ghanaian residence permit to confirm their legal immigration status in the country.
- Additional documents may be requested at the discretion of the Ghana High Commission.
The Ghana High Commission operates an appointment-based system for submitting visa applications. Visas2 will book an appointment and attend in person on the applicant’s behalf to submit the application.
Visa processing times are determined by the service level selected during the application process and commence from the date of the appointment.
Please note that the current the time to secure an appointment may vary. Early preparation is strongly advised.
Visa Information
- This visa permits a single business-related entry into Ghana for up to three months. It is suitable for UK travellers attending meetings, trade events, negotiations, or other professional engagements with organisations based in Ghana. The maximum permitted stay will be determined by immigration officials upon entry
- Visa processing is strictly by appointment.
Fees/Payment
Our fees will be calculated on the service type you wish to confirm. Additionally, there will be embassy/consulate outlay fees which will be quoted and confirmed prior to final ordering. Note all embassy/consulate fees are at cost with no additional mark up. All fees are in pounds sterling GBP.

Please note, with regards to cheques, we can only return your passports/ documents onece your cheque payment has been cleared. Customer wishing faster visa processing are advised to pay by card.
